In the list of Top Pet-Friendly Cities in California, we think San Francisco is #1 and the Marina Motel is the best place in San Francisco to stay with your dog. Located in the most dog-friendly neighborhood of the city with miles of hiking trails and wooded paths in the Presidio to nearby Chrissy Fields Beach and the Palace of Fine Arts lake and gardens, the Marina Motel is an ideal place to stay when traveling with your dog. Just around the corner are numerous dog-friendly outdoor cafes and restaurants.  And for late-night pit stops, we have a lighted dog run with faux grass and pickup bags.

Please note that your dog can not be left in the room unattended at any time unless crated. *If your visit includes tours (i.e. Alcatraz) or any local attractions that are not pet friendly, please re-consider bringing your dog this time. We take the peace and quiet of our guests very seriously so if your dog is a barker, this is not the right place for you.  We don't mind an occasional woof but just not enough that other guests are disturbed. Since San Francisco tends to be rather cool (temperature-wise) we do allow guests to leave their dog in their car in one of our garages under the rooms.While we do allow dogs in all rooms that have fully equipped kitchens attached, we do not allow dogs on any furniture (i.e. chairs, sofas, or beds). Please bring a cover if you think your dog will not pay attention to this rule. An extra cleaning or damage fee may apply when this rule has been broken.We charge $25 per night per pet with a two-dog maximum. Please note on your reservation if you will be bringing any dogs. All dogs must be registered at check-in.
